O:live Hotel Collection is created, built, and styled from the ground up by their owners Loisse Herger and Fernando Dávila. O:live is the result of a continuing romance with exploring the world and creating magical spaces where guests are transported to far-away places. Loisse and Fernando, proud Puerto Ricans, were married in Sorrento, Italy before falling in love with the idea of becoming hoteliers. Fernando’s experience in property development and design, along with Loisse’s extensive branding and marketing experience, has created a unique and world-class hospitality team that started in the heart of Puerto Rico and has now expanded to the magnificent city of Florence, Italy.
THE BEGINNING
OF A JOURNEY
O:live began as a feeling, not an idea. It was the creation of the same feeling of awe that Loisse Herger and Fernando Davila experienced when traveling to magical places that touched their hearts.
They fell in love with the Amalfi Coast and got married in Sorrento. They wanted to re-create that same feeling and transport guests to the Mediterranean life. Their first creation was designed on a Caribbean canvas.
O:LIVE BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Through the design, ambiance, amenities, and artifacts from their world travels, they brought O:live to life in 2012. O:live won the title of best new boutique hotel and world’s best design boutique hotel by the prestigious boutique hotel awards in London and belongs to the small luxury hotels of the world. “We personally designed, built and decorated O:live with genuine love” said the couple of their first creation.
O:LV FIFTY FIVE
O:LV Fifty Five is a modern abbreviation of O:live, and the 55, which coincidentally is the address in both properties represents both their union and individuality. O:LV is inspired by the designers, locals, and artists met while traveling globally, and conveys a sophisticated aesthetic from the same author of the award-winning, original O:live Boutique Hotel. Opened in 2018, the stylish hotel is the natural evolution of the O:live brand – a new story told through spaces that are carefully designed to make you feel the energy of creative cities worldwide like Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, and Hong Kong. Film noir art along with black and white marble floors will define the luxuriously contemporary interiors. The space is intended to feel like an interior designer’s dream home complete with brass details, ebony wood cabinets, and unconventional design touches. The double-tiered rooftop is home to a climate-controlled infinity pool taking center stage on the first tier, with shimmering lagoon and cityscape views. The second tier offers a guests-only solarium with a modern jacuzzi in which visitors can surrender to the glorious Caribbean sun. “Guests will be wowed by O:LV Fifty Five. We love so many of the features – from the jaw-dropping two-tiered rooftop with a 1977 vintage Rolls Royce that acts as a DJ booth and champagne bar to the surprising artwork resulting in the feel of staying at a designer’s home,” says Loisse Herger, founder of O:live Hotels.
AÏRE DE O:LIVE
An escape to an earthy beachfront habitat is set to open in 2023-2024 in phases. With its abundance of natural materials such as wood, rattan, cotton, and stone, Aire de O:live is a journey to layback beach towns inspired by magical places like Ibiza, Tulum, Mykonos. It exudes a sense of being handmade and organic, creating a space that is warm, inviting and contemporary. The hotel offers 72 rooms designed to encourage relaxation and curiosity, allowing guests to lose track of time and immerse themselves in a meaningful experience.At Aire de O:live, sustainability is at the forefront of their mindset, supporting local artists and using sustainable principles throughout the hotel.
O:LIVE VILLA FIRENZE
The perfect storm. On the Tuscan hills surrounding Florence, 27 acres of splendid olive trees give life to a precious villa, symbol of a dream come true. The villa is in Tuscany specifically on the hills surrounding Florence which is the emblem of the renaissance, internationally known for its beauty, art and history. The villa is nestled between 27 acres of protected landscape which is home to a lovely olive grove that counts more than 1,000 olives trees with its own olive oil production. A splendid estate that gives tranquility and privacy to the villa making it an ideal place to recharge just 15 minutes away from Florence historic city center. O:live Villa Firenze is 8,000 sq ft featuring 7 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms, a spa, a gym, a swimming pool, a piazzale, external dining area and parking areas and it is set to open in Fall 2023.
